The American Story 2 - Full Program with African American Focus

Live Through Days of Daring in Later American History. A Special Focus on the Pivotal Struggle for Equal Rights Under the Law

Your Guidebook is FREE with This Package Purchase!

Each of the products listed under the package set can be purchased separately, but they are designed to work together to provide your family with a wonderful learning experience!

All the resources you'll need to help your student understand the key happenings in later American history. Students will travel through time to see the beginnings of African American importation and enslavement in America. They'll follow along through the African American struggle first for the legal recognition of their equal rights under the law during the Civil War, then their struggle for true equality in the Civil Rights movement. Students will be on hand to see the wrenching cost of Civil War battles, but also witness the triumph of American invention and ingenuity! They'll experience what it was like to settle a western town and leave a life in the east to hunt for gold. They'll see firsthand what it was like to be an immigrant in America, or a child worker during the Industrial Revolution. Then, they'll move forward through the twentieth century, making stops in the Great Depression, the world wars, and the American space program. It's a great program waiting for you to experience it with literature you'll love and activities you'll remember!
